Wow, May is here & Branson is in full bloom! I have never been busier than I am right now. People ask me everyday, “Homer Lee, where are you now?” I tell them, “I’m like dandelions, I’m everywhere.” This is my 31st year to perform at Silver Dollar City. They are celebrating their 50th Anniversary on a grand scale. Go to silverdollarcity.com for more details. I play multiple roles all over the park 5 days a week & I have some new characters too so… Look out!
I host a ‘Campfire Wagon Ride’ at Big Cedar Lodge 3 days a week as ‘Deputy Birdy Tweedle’ & I am having the time of my life there. What a beautiful place! This wagon ride is open to anyone as well as guests of Big Cedar!
We opened-up ‘The Shepherd of the Hills’ play on Saturday, May 1st! This is their 50th Anniversary too!
My wife, Dede & our 2 sons are involved in the play & that’s wonderful to be with my family & working together in America’s largest outdoor drama! I play 2 comic relief characters, ‘Ollie’ & ‘Doc’.
I will be taping my hour-long TV show on The Vacation Channel for the 13th season in a row as ‘Terry the Tour Guide’ sometime in May.
I was back at the Baker Creek Seed Company on Monday, May 3rd played several characters & I’ll be there not only for this festival, but for their June, July, & August festivals the first Sunday of each month!
I am making a lot of personal appearances too! Checkout my ‘Personal Appearances for 2010’ page.
April was amazing so far May is even better. Branson is gorgeous this time of year with the wisteria, lilac, tulips, forsythia, redbud, dogwood, etc… blooming! We made it through tax time with an amazing tax man PSC taxes in Springfield, MO. – thanks Pete! The 16th of April Dede & I celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary, I worship the ground her father struck oil on!
I turned 51 on last month, April 18th & since I dated Dede for 4 years, good heavens, I have spent more than half my life with her! The world is crazy place any more, we have to be more understanding, more tolerant, & more loving than ever before. No where is it written “Life is easy”, but if you keep your ability to laugh, especially at yourself, you will make it through the non-sense!
Thanks for your love & support over the years,it truly means the world to me & my family! Stay turned right here for the latest on our loves & Branson too!
Always, your buddy, Terry ‘Homer Lee’ Sanders
